About the role – Mō te tūnga

The Feedback team is a crucial part of the feedback process within the organisation, ensuring that regions, sites and teams are fully supported when receiving, reviewing and replying to feedback.

The purpose of Team Leader Complaint Management is to lead a team of Senior Advisors who are based across all our main centres and are responsible for undertaking assessments, reviews and management of complaints that have been referred to the Feedback and Complaints team.

This role will work closely with the Manager Feedback and Complaints and provide subject matter expertise and leadership to ensure consistent delivery of service across the country.

What you will bring – Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu:

  • Strong people leadership skills, ideally experience at a team leader level in operations and service delivery aspects of the social sector within Oranga Tamariki, or a comparable organisation
  • A good understanding of the governance arrangements and public sector context within which Oranga Tamariki works and the ability to apply this understanding to judgement and decision making
  • Sound knowledge of Oranga Tamariki Act 1989, the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014 and other relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaborative peer and other stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in the development, preparation and monitoring of service delivery performance measures and of reporting against these
  • Outstanding communication skills that will enable you to engage and inspire staff and to build skills and confidence amongst the team
