Do you want to be part of a such a diverse and close-knit team?

We are looking for a dynamic people leader who can lead our organisational strategy, performance and reporting team. This role provides a mix of people leadership and hands-on work. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Facilitate the development of a clear intervention logic from strategic outcomes to activities and related performance measures
  • Facilitating the development of NZQA’s strategy reflected in our Statement of Intent
  • Developing and maintaining key accountability documents
  • Developing monthly reporting to SLT and Board and quarterly reporting to Minister
  • Be a key liaison point between NZQA and Ministry of Education’s Crown Entity monitoring team
  • Working closely with EPMO to support the reporting and thinking at NZQA’s Future State Steering Group

You will be a seasoned professional who has:

  • at least 2 to 3 years experience in organisational strategy/ performance functions
  • at least 5-6 years over all relevant experience
  • a good understanding of machinery of government and accountability reporting processes
  • a reasonable understanding of Crown Entity reporting obligations
  • a good understanding of performance measures and potentially certification in best practice performance measure methodology e.g. PuMP
  • excellent relationship management and people management skills
  • strong influencing skills
  • perseverance and tenacity to see things through

In return we offer you the opportunity to work in team with diverse functions and grow your own understanding and experience of other business functions. You will have opportunities to grow within the team, wider NZQA and the education sector. If you want to work in a dynamic and diverse team and grow your lateral skills and if you tick most if not all of the above boxes, we are keen to hear from you.
