As part of our exciting growth our Strategy, Finance and Policy Group are now looking to welcome a Team Leader Performance Systems to be based in our Wellington CBD office. Within this unique role you will enjoy the mandate and support to drive and influence change right across our business, through your ability to translate vision into an implementable, innovative system that really works.

As Team Leader Performance Systems you will:

  • lead and build a high performing and collaborative team focused on developing and enabling Kāinga Ora’s organisational performance systems
  • lead the development of an efficient Performance Measurement framework and system and a balanced suite of metrics to drive overall organisation performance aligned to our strategic direction and organisational goals
  • ensure that we understand our performance and opportunities to do better
  • interpret performance data across the organisation
  • Ensure that Kāinga Ora delivers on its accountability reporting requirements with external agencies and the Board
  • lead Kāinga Ora’s response to external performance assessment requirements
  • lead the review of strategic and business improvement progress using the Performance Framework and metrics providing feedback and guidance as required
  • work collaboratively with the Manager Organisational Planning and Performance to provide a monitoring perspective to the development of Statement of Intent and Statement of Performance Expectations.

In addition to your relevant tertiary qualification (strategy, business, finance, public policy, etc) you will bring the following:

  • Experience working within a large, complex environment, and exposure to the public sector
  • In-depth conceptual thinking skills combined with the ability to develop practical solutions
  • Ability to effectively cope with change, decide and act without having the total picture, and handle risk and uncertainty
  • Experience identifying, collecting, organising and analysing complex data to make sound judgements and enable informed decision-making
  • Commitment to fostering good stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely convey information and ideas in both oral and written communication
  • Experience navigating and operating in a regulated environment, experience working constructively across functions and track record of building and maintaining the trust of all stakeholders
