Clinical Services Oranga Tamariki has an opportunity for a registered Psychologist to lead a team of Psychologists at our Te Tai Tokerau site.

Clinical Services is an internal service of Oranga Tamariki with small teams of Psychologists and Therapists who provide psychological and therapeutic assessments and specialist interventions to tamariki and whanau who have experienced abuse and neglect.
About the role – Mo te tunga
This position will report to a Clinical Services Manager (a Psychologist) and have experience in supervising and managing teams of clinicians.
Experience working with children in a care and protection environment, specifically providing assessment and therapy with children and their families/caregivers, and assessments of parenting capacity will be an advantage. Responsibilities will include working with Maori and Pacifica clients, providing professional consultation to Social Workers, and liaising with community providers.
The diversity in this role provides the flexibility in the use of evidence-based therapy models and intervention tools to achieve positive outcomes for tamariki and their whanau. Further, successful applicants will likely gain exposure to comprehensive parenting assessment work, PCIT and programmes with a Te Ao Maori focus.
