Team Leader Quality Assurance

We are seeking an articulate and capable person with the skills and experience to provide high level guidance and advice to teaching staff and management on academic quality assurance and tertiary provider compliance regulations.

In this role, you will lead a small team within registry and work with a wide variety of staff across Whitireia and WelTec. Your work will include managing quality assurance processes at institution level and reporting on the effectiveness of these to senior management.

The successful candidate must possess the following:

  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience working in a senior role in quality assurance in the ITP sector of Aotearoa New Zealand tertiary education
  • Specialist knowledge and understanding of quality assurance requirements for tertiary education organisations
  • Recent experience advising and supporting staff on working within approved regulations, evaluation and review requirements
  • Experience in writing policy documents and reports for different audiences
  • A focus on accuracy, attention to detail and meeting deadlines

Whitireia and WelTec work together in a strategic partnership and our staff are based across three sites in Petone, Porirua and Wellington City. This role is based in Porirua but you may be required to work at Petone and travel into Wellington from time to time.
