The NZ Police Test Practice are seeking a dynamic and motivated Team Leader – Test Analysts to inspire and develop our team of salaried test analysts. 

 

Reporting to the Manager Test Practice you will be working alongside our current Team Leader ensuring our people are enabled and empowered under the Police High Performance Framework.  The role is based at the NZ Police College in Porirua.

 

Contributing to the NZ Police mission to be the safest country, and a vision to have the trust and confidence of all, the Test Practice is part of the Police ICT Technology Development Group. 

 

While you will be an experienced test and quality practitioner, this role is about our people! In this role you’ll be:

  • Developing their capabilities (we want testing gurus)
  • A voice and cheer leader for our people
  • An influencer on testing best practice and how things should be done
  • Transforming and ensuring the testing services we provide are on point!
  • Fronting testing initiatives including presenting them to our people and beyond

 

 

Skills – you will be able to:

  • Foster a fabulous team culture
  • Effectively communicate and build positive partnerships with all members of Police and beyond
  • Be a role model, mentor and coach for the testing profession
  • Live and breathe the values of Police

 

 

Experience – you will have:

  • People management experience including the ability to manage conflict and deal with behaviours that sit outside our values
  • Test management experience across projects and ideally programmes of work
  • ISTQB or ICAgile certifications
