We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated leader to join our highly motivated and skilled team as Technical Operations Planning Manager within the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS).
In this role you will lead and manage the Technical Operations Planning team at the operational level to ensure the secure and efficient delivery of NZSIS operational security and intelligence objectives.
We are seeking an experienced intelligence professional who has a wide range of operational experience. To be successful in this role you will need:

This is a unique opportunity to work in an exciting and fast paced operational environment. This means at times working outside of normal hours and travel to meet NZSIS operational requirements. No two days are ever the same! To cater for the uniqueness and unpredictability in this role, you’ll receive an allowance on top of your salary.

Salary range: $93,947 – $140,245 per annum
(Midpoint of the salary range is $116,871 reflecting full competence in the role)

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold NZ Permanent Residence or hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a high level security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
