About the role:
We are looking for a talented engineer to join a tightknit unit focused on creating solutions for emerging technology challenges in law enforcement.
You will be naturally inquisitive, always learning and driven to innovate. You will need to be a self-starter and finish what you start.
In this role will give you a unique opportunity to work and develop in a key area growth within NZ Police and you will be exposed to technologies and concepts that few other organisations can offer.
You will have a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved whatever is needed. This is an operationally focused group so you will need to be able switch priorities and focus quickly. There may be a need to work in the field from time to time so you will need to be physically and mentally able. There may be requirement for a physical and psychological assessment.
You may come from a software development, DevOps, hardware engineering or infrastructure background. We will mould the job around the skills of the right person.
