Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities brings together the three existing agencies of Housing New Zealand, HLC and KiwiBuild to form a new organisation.
We do amazing, important work. We contribute to thriving communities that provide New Zealanders with good quality, affordable homes. Our work supports people to have good access to jobs, amenities and services, as well as improving the wellbeing of current and future generations.
We do this by being a world class public housing provider, and partnering with others to deliver urban development projects.

Our Tenancy Managers are part of a team doing incredible work that provide people with good quality, affordable housing choices that meet a range of diverse needs. They are privileged to have the opportunity to take a more holistic approach and to support our tenants to have good access to jobs, amenities and services, and to thrive within their communities.
Tenancy Managers build meaningful and lasting relationships with the tenants in their portfolio, supporting them to maintain their tenancy with Kāinga Ora and to navigate life challenges, enabling them to live with dignity in their home and the wider community.
