We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced people who:
This position manages PHARMAC’s annual tender: an open, contestable process for the supply of pharmaceuticals. This process generates significant (multi-million dollar) savings for New Zealand – savings that can then be used to purchase other pharmaceuticals. This position involves a high level of responsibility and makes a real difference to the lives of New Zealanders.
This opportunity will suit someone with a few years work experience with an interest in the interface of business and health. We are also interested in receiving applications from recent graduates with relevant skills and qualifications that would make them ideal for the Tender Analyst role.
The annual tender process provides pharmaceutical companies with the opportunity to gain sole supply for a product for approximately three years. Given the scale of the tender and its financial value, it is critical the process is well run and coordinated. Good time management skills are essential, as is good numerical ability, an eye for detail and robust process, and the ability to prioritise and multi task.
We are seeking applications from suitably-qualified people who:
Experience in running tender processes would be an advantage but is not required. An understanding or interest in the health sector would be an advantage but is not required.
