Working as a Train Attendant on the Norther Explorer in this role you will be specifically responsible for our café carriage ahead of our passengers joining the train. You will meet the train at 05.00 in our Westfield depot and travel with the train as far as Strand Station and you will either drive or take a train back to Westfield at the end of your shift. During the journey you will ensure the café has been set up correctly and all required stock is on-board. This is a part time (12 hrs/wk) position working Monday, Thursday & Saturday mornings from 5am – 9am. There is also the possibility to work additional hours if/when required to cover the Train Attendant role all the way to Wellington.
You will be professional with a positive and friendly manner, always ensuring safety requirements and customer service standards are observed. You will have a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines to ensure all our customers enjoy an exceptional on-board experience, strengthening the Great Journeys of New Zealand brand.
