Counties Manukau Police has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Shift Typist to join the File Management and Transcription (FM&T) Services workgroup, reporting to the Supervisor Transcription Services. FM&T Services is part of a nationally centralised group which supports a number of key elements of the case management process, our frontline staff and also provides key services to victims.
Although this role is currently located in Manukau, it will be relocated to a new site in Otahuhu Auckland in 2020.
In order to meet the typing requirements, you must be able to manage your time in this fast paced and deadline driven environment.
You will be highly motivated and a professional team player who has previous experience handling sensitive material.
You must have excellent knowledge and proven use in Microsoft Office software, especially Word and Excel.
Previous experience as an audio transcriber is critical as you will be required to transcribe challenging DVDs and audio recordings.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, and prior knowledge of Winscribe and its applications would be advantageous.
