About the role

Due to an impending retirement we are looking for a Utilities Operator to join our Maintenance Servcies team based at our Glenbrook site.

The Utilities Operator is responsible for operating the water treatment and utility services based in the Rolling Mills, supplying cooling water to this area of the business and secondary and filtered water to the wider site.

This is a permanent position working a 12-hour rotating shift pattern however, to ensure that operational requirements are met, you may be required to work additional hours when needed.

What will you be doing?

  •  Ensuring the quality of water supplied to site meets our supply agreement
  •  Day to day monitoring and operation of pumps and related plant
  •  Although you will be part of a team day to day tasks are sole-charge
  •  Data Entry / Reporting
  • About the person

    Ideally you will have a Water Treatment background/qualification.

    The ‘must bring’ skills you require to be successful in the role are;

  •  Proficient computer skills
  •  Effective, clear communication (both written and oral)
  •  Proven organisational / timekeeping skills
  •  Have a positive attitude along with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new tasks
  •  Have a process or mechanical aptitude
  • The right person for this role will demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a small team as well as independently. This is a sole charge position so you will need to demonstrate how you manage your workload to successfully complete all tasks.
