  • Summary:

Are you an experienced videographer and photographer looking for a chance to do meaningful work that pushes your creativity? Do you have experience in delivering video content, from conception through to delivery? Are you interested in working as part of the Labour Leader’s Office of Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern?

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented visual storyteller to join our highly-motivated Communications team.

We are looking for someone to create world-class video and photographic content – particularly with social media in mind. The successful individual will have the vision and drive necessary to develop compelling content, while being politically aware. You will be pro-active and hard-working, with strong relational skills and the ability to work well in a small team. The Communications team pride themselves on delivering work of the highest standard and you will be someone who is excited by that.

The key objectives of the role are varied, with an average week consisting of storyboarding ideas, providing studio and event photography, livestreaming of events, creating long-form content for stakeholders and short-form content for digital channels. You will be required to work both independently, as well as collaboratively to fulfil larger objectives, and sometimes both at the same time. You will be expected to manage some projects independently from start to finish including all aspects of pre-production, production and post-production.

This role will sometimes require you to work outside of core business hours, and spend long periods on your feet, often travelling around the country.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • is self-motivated, driven and passionate about producing innovative content
  • has sound technical knowledge and skills
  • has experience providing video content with a quick-turnaround time
  • enjoys a fast-paced, constantly changing and energetic environment
  • has video production experience (operating DSLR/ mirrorless/ film cameras)
  • is competent working with current professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Adobe Lightroom (understanding of the full Adobe Suite would be advantageous).

This role is ideal for a self-starter who is happy to be a team player and collaborator. If you can see the potential in this exciting role, apply now with your CV and portfolio link.

Applications close at midnight on Sunday, 18 November 2018.
