Ko tā mātou mahi – Our role

We are currently recruiting for a Void Specialist role. You will be part of a team which are revolutionising the way we manage the repairs to our vacant properties. We are looking for someone who is looking for a new challenge and who will be part of a team making a real difference to how quickly we can get our properties repaired and ready for those needing housing.

You will have excellent organisational and time management skills, like meeting deadlines and can form strong working relationships with your colleagues in tenancy management, maintenance delivery, and placement. You will also work alongside our contractors to ensure that properties requiring vacant repairs will be managed with significantly improved turnaround times.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu – What you will bring:

  • Experience (ideally five years plus) in maintenance management, tenancy or property management
  • Understanding of commercial and operational drivers within large scale performance based service contracts
  • Knowledge and some experience dealing with the maintenance contracting parties
  • Successfully able to work within geographically dispersed teams through significant operational changes while achieving improvements in performance
  • Proven ability to constructively and professionally push back when resistance to change is encountered
  • Ability to ask probing questions professionally that drive to the root cause of inefficiency
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
