About the role

The role’s primary focus is to provide support to all volunteer stations within the district with:

  • operational and administrative support including monitoring operational readiness
  • fire risk management initiatives and recruitment activities
  • business planning
  • driving a ‘service culture’ ethos
  • the role out of initiatives, projects and equipment
  • coordinating repair and maintenance of equipment
  • ensuring health and safety is paramount.

Suitable candidates must:

  • have sound interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • be competent in the use of MS Office and other IT systems
  • have effective communication skills both written and oral
  • have some knowledge or exposure to financial management budgeting and/or business planning
  • hold a driver’s licence – heavy vehicle duty licence is a bonus.
