The Whāngaia Ngā Pā Harakeke (WNPH) team are looking for a motivated, competent and reliable administrator to join the Auckland City District Police team.  The position will initially be based at the Avondale Police Station, then move in the early new year 2019, to a purpose built multi-agency facility at the Balmoral Community Policing Centre.

 

Whāngaia Ngā Pā Harakeke (WNPH) is a New Zealand Police operating model for Family Harm in which Police partner with Iwi/Hapū, government agencies and non-government organisations to reduce Family Harm (FH) in communities.

 

The WNPH Administrator plays a key role in the daily administration of the Safety Assessment Meetings (SAM) these meetings are held on weekdays (except Statutory Holidays). The WNPH Administrator will also assist in developing administrative practice and undertake some general wider administrative functions on behalf of or in support of the WNPH teams.   

 

The SAM is a multi-agency meeting comprising of Police and key partners. The purpose of the SAM is to share information between agencies relating to Family Harm episodes, to triage them and then prioritise actions and tasks resulting from these discussions.

 

The WNPH Administrator is an integral part of the meeting and is also responsible for recording relevant shared information into the Family Safety System (FSS) in a live, dynamic environment. The WNPH Administrator provides accurate administrative practice aligned with national guidelines and local governance direction.

 

Skills and experiences – you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge for Microsoft office, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Demonstrate an ability to self-motivate and use initiative
  • Demonstrate administrative skills and experience including the ability to prioritise
  • Demonstrate an ability to prioritise and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate accurate and efficient data entry capability
