Based in Gisborne with travel to Wairoa required
As a Work Broker you’ll engage with employers and clients within your community to provide a professional service to link Work and Income job seekers with suitable job opportunities. You will use influence and networks to seek out current and future employment opportunities from employers across a range of industry sectors. This will involve cold calling, the use of technology and networking to bring in great opportunities for our job seekers. You will also be able to sell job seekers to employers and build long term professional relationships that go from strength to strength. You’ll work alongside Case Managers and other Service Centre colleagues to ensure sustainable employment outcomes are achieved.
You will have a passion to help people from a diverse background, and your main drive is sales and hunting down opportunities. Results-driven, you readily build strong relationships with all stakeholders in the employment pipeline. Ideally you’ll have the wellbeing of Wairoa’s people at heart, and totally immersed within the community.
A fast-paced, pressured environment is where you thrive and you enjoy using your tenacity and initiative to find solutions and achieve goals.
A full clean driver’s licence and the ability to travel around Wairoa and Tairawhiti as required are essential for this role.
