Position is based in Gisborne or Napier (with travel throughout the region)

We are looking for an innovative and inspirational people leader to enable our regional work services team to foster employment opportunities for our clients.  The work services team is comprised of work brokers and employment coordinators who work with employers to grow and develop job opportunities for our clients in the local labour market.  You will be a proven change leader (at a strategic and operational level) as you will be responsible for leading the successful implementation of Regional and National initiatives. 

 

As a sales and marketing team, the work services team take a sales pipeline approach to identify suitable employers that can supply employment opportunities to meet the demand of our clients.  The team will also work in partnership with frontline case managers to ensure the journey to sustained work opportunities for clients is successful.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management across the East Coast region
  • Creation, implementation and monitoring of national and regional approaches to employment outcomes
  • Leadership of regional work focussed performance expectations
  • Leadership of a high performing team
  • Able to role-model a whānau-centred (client-centred)way of working

 

To be successful you need:

  • An awareness of inequalities and how to focus organisational energy to improve equality for Māori
  • Innovation, with the ability to strategically position the team to maximise results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and planning skills

  • Proven relationship management skills

 

Remuneration for this role is from $85,749 to $128,623 (mid-point $107,186).  Application along this salary scale is dependent on relevant work experience and evidenced skills.
