What you will do
Leading a strong group of professionals, the Head of Estate and Infrastructure is a senior executive role responsible for an extremely diverse asset base which is geographically spread throughout nine military bases across New Zealand.
You will be responsible for the on-going delivery of property and infrastructure services throughout the existing asset base, planning and implementation of the investment programme as agreed by Government and leadership of business transformation and change. You will establish clear priorities and a strategic direction that will strengthen strategy, planning and delivery in order to fulfil this investment.
The Head of Estate and Infrastructure will champion NZDF engagement with strategic business partners and industry to deliver the goals and objectives on a vast array of exciting infrastructure changes and projects as outlined in the Defence Estate Regeneration programme.

Defence Estate and Infrastructure develop, maintain and manage land, property and infrastructure assets in order to support NZDF military capabilities and all of government outcomes, through the Defence Estate Regeneration Programme. The Defence estate comprises over 81,000 ha of land, infrastructure and buildings with a replacement value of $2.8bn. Defence Estate and Infrastructure is gearing up for major reinvestment and recapitalisation work over the coming years to 2025.
