Detailed Overview

Under supervision, performs duties relating to the operation and maintenance of the Power Plant and ancillary equipment, hospital building systems and specialized equipment. Responsibilities 1. In accordance with the Power Engineers, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act and Regulations, is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of steam boilers and ancillary equipment on a shift basis. 2. Monitors the operation of steam boilers and logs pressure, temperature and level readings on an hourly basis. 3. Performs major repairs, alterations and preventative maintenance on all mechanical, refrigeration and Power Plant equipment as required.
