Position description

Reporting to the Registrar, the Academic Advisor Aviation will oversee the coordination of all activities related to academic advising and providing academic advising support to undergraduate students with a focus on improving retention of students through to graduation for the Bachelor of Arts-Aviation (BA-Aviation) and Bachelor of Commerce-Aviation (BCOMM-Aviation) as well as Aviation coordination across University units and with outside partners.

Key Responsibilities 

Advising (BA and BCOMM) 

  • Advise and provide support to BA-Aviation and BCOMM-Aviation students on academic programs, calendar and policies (i.e.: waitlists) throughout their degree progression 
  • Develop and deliver presentations on MtA Aviation Programs to current and prospective Aviation students, including student club and society meetings
