Job Description
Assesses student interest, aptitudes, and abilities in order to assist in academic and career planning. Counsel students in developing a specific academic program including choice of major and course selections Acts as a liaison of the Advisory Center with faculty, other schools and colleges, other University offices, and regional campuses. Provides outreach to enhance student development, improve the quality of the learning environment, and counsel students to meet academic and career goals.
Coordinates programs for students with unique goals and needs.Plans and provides outreach programs for high-risk students to promote retention. Serves as a resource to other academic advisors/counselors concerning student with difficulties.
