**Description:**
The purpose of this position is to provide instruction for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** **:**

+ Provides teaching and guidance to students taking ACLS and/or PALS courses.
+ Ensures classroom and supplies are prepared for class.
+ Follows teaching criteria outlined by the American Heart Association (AHA).
+ Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

**MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED** **:**

+ Certified ACLS and or PALS provider.
+ Current ACLS or PALS Instructor certifications or the ability to obtain with in 3 months of hire.
+ Ability to teach at a minimum of 1 class per month.
+ Ability to attend an annual, mandatory skills training/maintenance and sign-off session.
+ Ability to work evenings and weekends.
