The Haematology ANP role is an advanced cancer nursing role that crosses traditional professional boundaries, requiring a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making.
The post holder will work as part of a team of Haematology ANPs and SHOs providing a 24 hour service, 365 days a year. At night the post holder will manage clinical care in partnership with a dedicated SHO and SpR, as part of the on‑call medical team for inpatient cancer services.
In the day, the post holder will continue to support and work collectively with the on‑call medical team, managing and triaging care of inpatient haematology patients, participating in Ward Rounds, performing relevant clinical procedures, attending outpatient clinics and providing care in day care settings.
