Advisor (Licensing & Authorisations)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Specialist Supervision, Licensing & Authorisations team as an Advisor. The Licensing & Authorisations Team was created during 2023 in response to the Reserve Bank's need to develop a new licensing framework under the Deposit Takers Act and to modernise the Bank's approach to licensing and other significant authorisations, such as changes of control of licensed banks, non‑bank deposit takers and insurers.

Key responsibilities of the team

• Developing the licensing framework for the Deposit Takers Act for existing banks and NBDTs and for new firms wanting to become deposit‑takers under the DTA.
• Managing responses to licensing enquiries from banks, NBDTs and insurers.
