🥝 Agent-Based Modeling Engineer (Climate Risk)

LocationHealth | zürich, Switzerland | Posted June 03, 2026

Job Description

Climate risk today is mostly modeled as static exposure. But real‑world risk is dynamic, systemic, and adaptive.

At LocationHealth, we are building the adaptation decision engine for physical climate risk — moving from risk analytics to risk reduction and real‑world impact.

A core part of this vision: Agent‑Based Modeling (ABM) to simulate how climate shocks propagate across assets, portfolios, and economic systems.

What you will work on

You will design and build next‑generation simulation models that go beyond hazard maps:

  • Model assets, firms, and infrastructure as adaptive agents
  • Simulate multi‑hazard impacts (flood, heat, wildfire, etc.)
  • Capture systemic effects (supply chains, cascading failures)
  • Integrate geospatial and climate data into dynamic simulations
  • Build scenarios across climate pathways (RCP / SSP)
  • Quantify outputs such as:
  • Expected Annual Loss (E...
