Job Overview Assisting the IOCC, maintain a Flight Watch, which is an extension of the process of operations control, which requires the individual to be more proactive. Active monitoring by the Flight Follower personnel, of all things which may affect the planned completion of an enroute flight, allows up-to-the-minute tactical planning and assistance. It also allows the Aircraft Commander to inform the IOCC of changes of intention such as, for example, an intention to land at an alternative destination for technical reasons, so that the IOCC can make appropriate handling arrangements and seek clearances.
