The primary purpose of this position is to provide support for the U-2 aircrew survival and flight equipment needed to fly safely. The incumbent inspects, fabricates, assembles, modifies, and repairs articles that are difficult to lay out construct and fit because of irregularities, uncommon shapes and sizes, or unusual design (e.g., full pressure suits. Responsibilities - Inspects, tests, troubleshoots, maintains, disassembles, repairs, installs, modifies, stores, issues, fits, integrates, and adjusts aircrew flight equipment such as full pressure suit and full pressure suit equipment, helmets, survival kits, single place life rafts, parachutes, controller, regulators, emergency signaling and communication devices such as survival radios and beacons, and other types of aircrew survival systems. - Makes, modifies, and repairs articles that are difficult to ...
