Purpose of the Job
To support the management of DUT’s fixed assets at our Midlands Campus, including verification, record-keeping, reconciliations, insurance claims, and compliance with asset management policies and IFRS standards, thereby safeguarding the institution’s assets and minimizing risks.
Minimum Requirements
Education (Formal Qualification Required)
- Diploma (NQF 6) in Financial / Cost Accounting or other relevant Finance Diploma.
Education (Ideal)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Experience
- 2–3 years’ experience in financial administration or asset management.
- 4–5 years’ experience in asset management in higher education or a large organisation.
- Knowledge of asset management and financial administration.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
