Overview

An Assistant Psychologist will be based across Bowmere Hospital’s rehab ward, Maple ward, acute wards Juniper and Beech, and the PICU ward, Willow. Working within a multidisciplinary team comprising two Consultant Clinical Psychologists, a Qualified Clinical Psychologist, trainee psychologists, and other staff, the role focuses on supporting people with mental health difficulties in community transition or acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychological assessment and interventions (individual and group) under the supervision of qualified Clinical Psychologists.
• Contribute to MDT formulation meetings, team reflective practice, and formulation meetings.
• Support the development and implementation of psychologically informed behavioural and crisis plans.
