Under general supervision, reporting to the Director, Security Services, the Associate Security Guards /Security Guards performs duties for the purpose of preventing theft and vandalism, maintaining order,providing security for all University personnel, buildings and property, controlling traffic and parking, guidingstudents and visitors, and undertaking special investigation duties as required. Incumbents in all classificationsare subject to rotating shifts, day or night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Patrols campus to prevent and discover, observe and report offences, including potential intruders andcriminal offenders, trespassers and those in break of University policy.
• Conduct patrols for insecure area, fire and other threats to campus structures including equipmentmalfunctions and makes reports and takes appropriate action
