Beginning-1st day of football equipment fitting (approximately 3rd week of August Ends- 1 week after final spring contest. Time used for final inventory and record keeping. Prevention of athletic injuries through the following procedures: orthopedic screening, individual exercise programs for athletes with pre-exiting conditions, participate in equipment fitting for football and ice hockey, and assist coaches in developing year round conditioning programs. Provide medical coverage for home contests and daily practices, coordinate emergency medical procedures for all teams at all locations, coordinate emergency medical services as needed, follow the prescribed treatment of the team physician/or licensed physician. Provide for the management, treatment and disposition of athletic injuries through providing injury evaluations before and after practices and referring athletes to the appropriate health care professional.
