Job Purpose

The Operator (Basic) is responsible for carrying out general line operations and cleaning regimes according to planned operational requirements in order to safely deliver a good quality packed product.

Key Responsibilities

• Start-Up/Shutdown procedures – carry out pre start-up checks, ensure area and equipment are clean and safe as per SOP; assist in shutting down equipment.
• Cleaning – perform initial inspection and cleaning as per SOPs, alert leaders to potential contamination.
• Material Availability – provide continuous supply of appropriate packaging material from storage to demarcated areas following 5S standards.
• Quality – monitor quality against set standards, report product and packaging faults, detect process abnormalities, take emergency action.
