Key Responsibilities

• Managing litigation and negotiating settlements
• Drafting coverage opinions and letters (in both French and English)
• Communicating with insureds, counsel, brokers and claimants (in both English and French)
• Authorizing payments as required
• Acting as a resource for various business units

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Law Society of Ontario (lawyer or paralegal).
• Approximately 5–7+ years of experience in private practice specializing in insurance law and/or experience in handling claims
• Fluently bilingual in French and English
• Property & Casualty experience is an asset
