Description The Pharmacy Technician supports and collaborates with the healthcare team, primarily the pharmacy team, to ensure patients receive high-quality care related to dispensing medications at Mountain Park Health Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Processes prescriptions and enters patient information into Mountain Park Health Center's computer software systems.
- Answers patient questions, troubleshoots, and resolves patient concerns and complaints. Refers patients with questions regarding prescriptions, drug information, or health matters to a pharmacist.
- Assists the pharmacist in dispensing, filling prescriptions, inventory control, stocking shelves, clerical work, and data entry.
- Communicates patient care related information with members of the pharmacy staff, external contacts, and other healthcare professionals.
- Fills and documents medications in the automated dispensing machine.
