The Town of Cumberland Gap is seeking qualified applicants for a Building Inspector position on an As-Needed Basis . Compensation: $ 30.00 per hour Primary Responsibilities Inspect residential and commercial buildings to ensure compliance with the 2021 International Building Codes (IBC/IRC) and Town Codes. Review building construction, structural, mechanical, and plumbing regulations. Foster positive, professional relationships with contractors, property owners, and the general public. Issue violation notices, stop-work orders, and construction permits as necessary. Requirements Certification: Current and valid Tennessee Building Inspector certification is preferred; however, the Town will consider applicants who can obtain the required certification within one year of employment.
