Our manufacturing client has a need for a Buyer for their Woodbury, NY office. This is a permanent onsite position.



Buyer

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between engineering, suppliers, warehouse, and customers by responding to specification questions, setting up suppliers with accounting, coordinating international purchase orders and logistics, managing weights/dimensions, tariffs, pickup scheduling and tracking, overseeing customer shipments, processing invoicing, and partnering with the warehouse manager to ensure timely order fulfilllment.


• Obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers, negotiate pricing as appropriate for project needs, and organize quote information for pricing review.


• Source new vendors or suppliers and maintain existing relationships for reliability and growth.
