Chargehand/Tug Driver

Position Overview

This role involves operation of a tug, shift chargehand duties, and manual handling tasks. The site operates across 7 days with morning and evening shifts typically ranging from 7 to 9 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a tug to shunt and position trailers safely
• Shunt trailers on and off bays
• Communicating with supervisors to report on progress and issues
• Coordinating yard activities and communicating with HGV drivers
• Overseeing staff within the warehouse and monitoring progress
• Working in varied environments including warehouse, outside operations, and chilled areas
