Job Summary The Chemistry Specialist position is responsible for recruiting high school science teachers to participate in AMSTI / ASIM; implementing a flexible communication system for scheduling labs; preparing activities/labs and supplies for the lab; submission of a weekly itinerary to ASIM Project Director; delivering activities/labs and supplies to participating AMSTI / ASIM teachers as scheduled; providing on-site support and mentoring for new or beginning teachers whenever possible; assisting with laboratory activities, delivering on-site professional development, and providing other training as needed; providing coaching to teachers to help increase their skills and move them to higher performance levels on the Alabama Continuum for Teacher Development based on the Alabama Quality Teaching Standards; coordinating work with the AMSTI site; picking up activities/labs and supplies from participating AMSTI / ASIM teachers in a timely manner; ordering, organizing, and maintaini...
