Job Description
Responsibilities - The Chief Officer is responsible for the overall management of deck operations and acts as second-in-command to the Master onboard the TSHD.
- Plan, supervise, and execute dredging operations including loading, overflow control, sailing, and discharge activities.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of dredging equipment such as dragheads, suction pipes, hopper systems, and discharge arrangements.
- Monitor dredging parameters (density, production rate, overflow limits) to optimize performance and meet project targets.
- Oversee stability, trim, and stress of the vessel during all phases of dredging and ensure compliance with stability criteria.
- Maintain strict adherence to environmental regulations, including turbidity control and designated dumping areas.
