Chief Resident, Starship Child Health – Lead, mentor and support the registrars and house officers of Starship Child Health as our Chief Resident for 2027. Leadership position fixed-term for 12 months. Flexible training opportunity. Auckland City location.

About the role

• Manage and organise teaching programmes for ward house officers and medical registrars, ensuring quality and safety improvement.
• Manage operational and performance-related issues.
• Own tasks related to recruitment, rosters and leave.
• Key contributor to initiatives to improve patient experience and outcomes.
• Contribute to actualising equity through Te Tiriti o Waitangi and foster working environments promoting Pae Ora for Māori whānau.
• Engage with the Tama Ariki Ora, Māori Health team at Starship to provide education on equity and Te Tiriti in Action.
