Clinical / Counselling Psychologist – 0.5 WTE (Maternity Leave Cover, up to 12 months)

The Hertfordshire Community Perinatal Team (CPT) offers specialist perinatal services to women and families with complex mental health needs during pregnancy and up to 2 years post‑natal. This part‑time post is to cover a maternity leave period.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments of women and mother‑infant dyads in the perinatal period, using clinical interviews, tests and rating scales.
• Formulate and implement evidence‑based treatment plans, including CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, Systemic Therapy and Mindfulness.
• Deliver individual and group interventions for women, families and carers, and evaluate treatment outcomes.
• Provide liaison and consultation to the multi‑disciplinary team, local maternity services and other agencies.
