Overview

The service focuses on the most vulnerable patients, with an emphasis on patient assessment and timely recognition and response to deterioration, supporting colleagues across Base and Hawera hospitals as part of a team dedicated to improving patient safety and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and communication to recognise and respond to deteriorating patients, with emphasis on supporting our most vulnerable patients across the organisation.
• Support colleagues across Base and Hawera hospitals in the management of deteriorating patients.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, problem solving and assessment skills.
• Collaborate within an MDT and navigate challenging clinical situations.
