Responsibilities:
The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist (this is full time job position Monday to Friday 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM) is responsible for assisting in the planning, organization and direction of clinical pharmaceutical services to achieve high quality standards of care in pharmacy services related to specific areas of clinical expertise. Provides specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes for patients. Collaborates with the pharmacy leadership in developing training and education programs and evaluation processes for clinical activities of the pharmacist staff in the clinical specialist's specific area of expertise. Prepares formulary review and medication use evaluations of medications used in their area of clinical expertise for presentation to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
