Take a lead role in specialist addiction psychology within the Bay of Plenty Addictions Service. Based in Tauranga and working across the region, this position delivers recovery focused psychological therapy for adults affected by moderate to severe substance abuse.
Clinical work centres on face‑to‑face, one‑to‑one therapy, with some scope for remote sessions across our wider catchment. Presentations include trauma, co‑existing mental health challenges, and neurodiversity. The role includes participation in assessments and treatment processes under the Substance Addiction Compulsory Assessment and Treatment Act 2017. You will contribute to the specialist SACAT team and either hold, or work towards, Approved Specialist and Responsible Clinician status under the Act.
