About the Role

Ngā Tai Oranga – The Healing Tides is a small multi‑disciplinary team based in Newtown, Wellington. The clinical psychologist will provide therapies, supervision, consultations and teaching to mental health clinicians. The focus is on people with complex PTSD and/or borderline personality disorder, who experience severe distress tolerance, relationship and emotional dysregulation that impacts on their lives and those of their whānau.

The role includes:

• Delivering evidence‑based treatment, particularly dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), to patients with significant emotion regulation difficulties.
• Providing supervision and consultation to multidisciplinary mental health teams.
• Teaching emotional regulation skills, formulation and risk assessment to clinicians across the lifespan.
