**Job Title: 1st Shift Machinist**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled machinist responsible for setting up and operating various CNC machines. This role involves performing quality checks using measuring instruments such as calipers, OD ID mics, and depth mics, as well as conducting first piece inspections. The machinist must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions.

**Responsibilities**

+ Set up and operate CNC machines.
+ Perform full machine set-up including changing jaws, tooling, and touching off tools.
+ Select programs from the library and follow provided set-up sheets.
+ Conduct in-process inspections using gauges.
+ Handle short runs and small batch orders, with most being under 30 pieces.
+ Maintain tolerances typically ranging from .002 to .005, with some precision work requiring tolerances around .0005.
