Shangri-La Sydney is looking for a passionate and talented Commis Chef to join our Altitude Kitchen team, where you’ll play a key role in crafting exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

As part of Altitude Kitchen, you’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple sections of the kitchen, supporting our chefs in preparing high-quality dishes with seasonal Australian produce. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced, fine-dining environment, while contributing to a creative and collaborative team.

What we’re looking for:

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and high-quality food

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced chefs

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is desirable (not mandatory for exceptional candidates)

  • Current Food Safety Certificate
