🥝 Computational Researcher position in functional genomics and single-cell biology

University of Oslo | Remote, Norway | Posted June 11, 2026

Job Description

A one-year extendable computational researcher position (SKO 1109 or SKO 1108) is available in the group of Dr. Biswajyoti Sahu at the Norwegian Centre for Molecular Biosciences and Medicine (NCMBM, formerly NCMM). We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual in bioinformatics and computational biology. We offer a position in an ambitious, multi-disciplinary and well-resourced group that is comprised of both wet-lab and computational scientists. Our group investigates the interplay between transcription factors and oncogenic drivers using large scale single-cell omics including single-cell RNA-seq, multiOme-seq (RNA+ATAC) and spatial transcriptomics (Visium HD, Xenium) and spatial epigenomics. We utilize a wide range of cell-based models, organoid systems and patient material together with cutting‑edge functional genomics approaches from ChIP-seq, CUT‑RUN, massively parallel reporter assays and Hi‑C to advanced CRISPR‑based approaches for genome editing, single-ce...
